1. Home MCP · Google
Let Claude (or ChatGPT) run your Nest
Google opened Home MCP (Model Context Protocol) so third-party AI agents can control and query Google Home / Nest devices — announced Sep 16, 2026, rolling out as early access over the coming weeks (US English).
What it can actually do
House keys for any MCP agent. Claude, ChatGPT, Hermes, OpenClaw, Google Antigravity, and other Model Context Protocol clients can now talk to your Google Home / Nest setup — ask for a cross-camera summary, check whether the laundry finished, or build a plain-language dashboard of what’s on and off around the house.
Agents can ping you on speakers. When a background task finishes, the agent can drop an audio message on a Google Home speaker so you hear it without opening an app. Gemini for Home stays the Nest speaker “face”; MCP is an extra control layer on top — it does not replace Gemini for Home.
Hard safety brakes, early access. Sensitive moves like unlocking doors are blocked, rate limits apply, and it works with Nest cams, doorbells, and thermostats plus Matter / “Works with Google Home” gear.
Caveats (read these)
- Early access — US English, Premium Advanced only; Standard does not qualify.
- Setup is not one-tap: create a Google Cloud project → configure Home MCP → hand config to your agent → sign in & grant permissions.
- Google warns connecting an agent can cause unexpected or undesired behavior — review policies/ToS.
- Automations support / wider availability = unclear / not announced.
- Cloud project costs are usually free for light use / estimate only — Google would not say on broader tiers/markets.

Requires Google Home Premium Advanced: $20/month or $200/year (US). Standard ($10/month / $100/year) does not qualify. Agent subscriptions (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) billed separately.
Best for: Smart-home shoppers with Nest cams / Matter gear who want one brain (Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP client) for lights, cams, and chores — and who are willing to pay Premium Advanced + do a Cloud project setup.
2. One Claude · Anthropic
Chat, Docs, and Slides in the same tab
Anthropic merged Claude Chat and Cowork into One Claude and launched Docs and Slides (Sep 16, 2026 — “Starting today” on the Anthropic blog), with Design-in-chat joining the unified UI.
What it can actually do
One front door. Claude Chat and Cowork merge into a single place to start — Claude decides whether you need a quick answer or a longer hand-off that can keep working after you close the laptop, so you stop hopping between “chat mode” and “work mode.”
Docs and Slides in the same conversation. Co-write a brief with Google-Docs-style comments, share a link, edit on mobile, and export toward Word / Google Docs (per Reuters) — then draft, tweak, and present slides (or download PowerPoint / PDF) without leaving the thread. Same chat can ship a matching doc and deck together.
Design stays in the chat. Claude Design (Canva-powered engine, launched earlier) now works from ordinary conversations, and Artifacts stay in the unified UI. Claude Code stays separate.
Important caveats
- Docs / Slides / Design-in-chat are beta on paid plans.
- UI merge rolls out over the next few weeks to Pro/Max (web, desktop, mobile) — not everyone sees it Day 1.
- Team / Free = later; Enterprise admins get ≥30 days notice.

3. Koa · Salesforce + NVIDIA
CRM brain built on NVIDIA Nemotron
Salesforce announced Koa, its first CRM reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron, at Dreamforce (Sep 15, 2026) — aimed at multistep Agentforce work, not just chatty replies.
What it can actually do
Built for multistep CRM work. Think lead gen, opportunity next steps, case routing, and follow-ups — the kind of long-running Agentforce jobs that need tools plus judgment, not just a chatty reply. It’s post-trained on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and hosted inside Salesforce’s trust boundary (company claim: synthetic training, no customer data).
Salesforce says early CRM-task benchmarking looks strong. On its own CRM Benchmark — things like updating an opportunity, routing a case, or scheduling a follow-up — Salesforce reports fewer errors than general models, including a vendor claim of about three times fewer. That’s Salesforce’s own suite and marketing characterization, not an independent third-party score. Training scenarios span 14+ industries.
Already in named pilots. Salesforce is running an internal Slack agent, and outside pilots include 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union (BCU), Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, and Xero. Related: Nemotron-based models headed to Missionforce (gov / regulated / air-gapped).
Caveats (roadmap, not a consumer buy today)
- Pilot / roadmap: select Agentforce customers now; GA winter 2026 (US) — not a consumer app you buy today.
- The “about three times fewer errors” figure is Salesforce’s CRM Benchmark / vendor-reported — not an independent lab ranking.
- “No customer data in training” and trust-boundary claims are company-stated.
- Distinct from Issue 02’s NVIDIA PAIR — this is Salesforce Koa on Nemotron for CRM/Agentforce, not PAIR.
- Missionforce Operations: GA now (US); post-trained NVIDIA models for select Missionforce customers: October 2026 — separate track from Koa GA.
Pricing
N/A publicly for Koa itself — pilot-only now; general availability expected winter 2026 (US regions). Expect Agentforce / Salesforce edition packaging later — dollar figures not disclosed.
